Camping Ground

 

This is a new extension to the facilities of Ayr Sailean which opened on April 16th 2011. Located between granite rocks and native bush in a sheltered location on our working farm, the park offers 20 powered sites and 10 unpowered sites with a large Camp Kitchen and Ablution Block. All powered sites have been leveled and grassed. This is the ideal spot to get off the beaten track and relax in tranquil surroundings. The Ablution Block includes a laundry and disabled / family shower room & toilet.

A washing machine and dryer are supplied free of charge for guests.

Free Dump Point use for guests.

There is also a further 20 unpowered overflow sites. These are relatively level but no guarentees.

 

Prices

  • Off Season - $20 unpowered, $25 powered sites - discounts for longer stays.
  • Peak Season - $25 unpowered, $30 powered sites
  • Extra person - Peak $10 per head per night. Off season $8, Under 12 months free, Toddler to 2 years $5.
  • Pet fee - $10 each per stay ($5 for lap dogs).

Discounts for Veterans - proof required.

 

Minimum Booking Periods:-  Cabins & Sites - 1 night except for:

June long weekend - 3 nights;

October Long Weekend - 3 nights                        

Christmas - 5 nights;

March Long Weekend - 3 nights

Easter weekend - 4 nights

 

3 Star Cabins

 

These single room units adjacent to the Ayr Sailean Camping Ground are ideal for couples or small families who want that camping experience without the tent and need to bring all that gear. Equipped with a double and 2 or 3 single beds, fridge, table and chairs, these units are a great alternative for those on a budget. Units have all linen and towelling included. Cooking facilities are catered for in the Camp Kitchen. Crockery, Cutlery and Cooking Utensils are available. You need to bring your own wine glasses :-)

 

Prices- All quoted for 2 people. Extras as listed separatly.

  • Summer & Easter Holidays - $100 for 1 night; $180 for 2 nights, 3 or more nights - $80 per night.
  • Feb to July - $100 for 1 night; $160 for 2 nights, 3 or more nights - $70 per night.
  • August to November: $100 for 1 night; $140 for 2 nights, 3 or more nights - $50 per night.
  • Extras each per night: Peak or up to 3 nights Off peak - $20; 4 or more nights off peak - $15.
  • Pet fee - $20 each per booking

Ayr Sailean Park Rules and Information

 

So that all who use this park can do so with maximum enjoyment, we have a few simple requests. For more information please enquire at reception.

  1. Activities and Attractions information available in folder in the Camp Kitchen or from Reception.

  2. Tour & Restaurant bookings, Phone, fax, computer and internet access available at reception.A patch lead will enable you to plug your own in.

  3. Reception Hours – 7:00 am to 10:00 am – Afternoon by arrangment. Evenings 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

  4. Maps are free, please only take as required and recycle.Available at Reception and in Camp Kitchen.

  5. Please abide by our Green Star status and recycle when possible.

  6. Green Star also states that we will attempt to reduce consumables, including water. We request you restrict shower times to 5 minutes. All water is collected on the property and supply is limited.

  7. When using the Camp Kitchen, please leave it clean and tidy, as you would expect to find it.

  8. Please clean the BBQ and sink after use.

  9. No excess noise after 10:00 pm.

  10. No generators are to be used after 10:00 pm

  11. Camp fires may only be lit in the central rings provided. No individual camp fires are permitted without permission from the management.

  12. Pets must be supervised at all times and constrained when required. Any pet causing a nuisance to stock or other guests will be required to leave the park. A kennel facility is available near reception.

  13. Guests are welcome to walk on Ayr Sailean property, but must not trespass onto neighbouring property. See map for suggested circular routes. Please use the gates and leave them as you found them, be it open or shut.Fences have electric wires and may be turned on.

  14. Pursuent to Council regulationa) all patrons are advised that agricultural activities may impact on the amenity of the tourist site; and b) actions of patrons and activities on the tourist site must not negatively impact on or conflict with the use of surrounding land for agricultural purposes.
